Hey, the Colts made a free agency moves! After a slow day, 1 of the free agency Chris Ballard got his hands a little dirty and made some moves. Here are Chris Ballard’s latest moves during the free-agent frenzy and my grades for the signings!

Lewis is coming back to the Colts! NFL Networks Tom Pelissero first reported the signing. Lewis arguably was having his best season as a Colt before a season-ending injury this past year. He’s coming back on a one-year, 3 Million dollar deal. Ballard has always said pay your own, and he got it done.

Ian Rapoport first reported on NFL Network that Pryor would be back with the Colts. One year 6 million for Pryor, who will have the opportunity to compete for a starting job along the offensive line with the departures of Glowinski and Fisher. Pryor started multiple games for the Colts last season. Pryor was brought to Indianapolis via trade at the beginning of the year and has made the most of his opportunity with the Colts. Signing him back was significant for the Colts! Good job for Chris Ballard for seeing the need and getting him back on a relatively cheap deal.

Zaire Franklin LB/ST

Franklin signs back with the Colts on a three-year 12 million dollar deal. Franklin saw an expanded role with the Colts this past season. Franklin is an integral part of the special teams unit. This past season Franklin blocked a punt that was returned for a touchdown. Franklin has made multiple tackles on special teams and has made himself irreplaceable on the special teams unit. The former 7th rounder has found a home for the long with the Colts.

Facyson signed a one-year deal with the Colts. The terms of the agreement have not been made available. I don’t know much about Facyson, if I’m being honest. What I do know is he’s tall, athletic, and has one interception. Facyson has followed Gus Bradley from Chargers to Raiders and the Colts. It wouldn’t surprise me if this were the first of a few former Gus Bradley players. Facyson had 55 tackles and one interception this past season. Facyson also has a 51.7 PFF grade which isn’t promising. It’s also PFF, so I will take that with a grain of salt. I’d imagine if no other corners are brought in, Facyson could see significant playtime with the Colts.

Brandon Facyson 1 year TBD on terms. Anything under 3 million, I’ll give the grade a B- anything more than 3 million, I’ll drop that to a C.

It’s clear signing our own free agents was high on Ballard’s board which shouldn’t surprise us as he’s always said to pay your own. There are still Colts free agents out there to be signed. The next couple of days could get a bit spicier for the Colts, who have a lot of holes on the roster, such as CB, WR, TE, EDGE. Just because we didn’t get involved with wave 1 doesn’t mean there isn’t quality talent available. There is a TON of talent still available.
