Yesterday, the cover for Madden 22 was released. Featuring Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes, no one expected it to be a Colts player. In fact, no Colts player has ever been on the cover of Madden. The closest to such an honor (or curse?) was Andrew Luck, who was in the semi-finals of the Madden 15 cover vote before being edged out by Cam Newton. But the cover is beside the point. Today we’re here to discuss the player ratings for the Colts in Madden 22.
As an avid Madden player, I have played every Madden since 2007. And for the last few years, I have noticed some blatant disrespect in the ratings for nearly every Colt. For example, last year, Darius Leonard coming off of a Pro Bowl season, was a mere 85 overall, tied for the 14th best linebacker in the game at launch. It will never fail to surprise me how often EA undermines Indy. But here now, I will give my take on where I believe Madden will have our Colts rated, using both my opinions and the knowledge of disrespect that they provide the ratings of the Colts.
